4 ARTIST RESIDENCIES – 4 FREE WORKSHOPS – 4 FREE SPEAKING EVENTS – 4 FREE EXHIBITIONS

JULY 2024 – JUNE 2025

San Diego Made is pleased to present “My Creative Journey” | “Mi Viaje Creativo”, a collaborative program created to emphasize the spirit of creativity, innovation, and community within San Diego’s promise zone neighborhoods. Through this initiative, we seek to highlight the talent, innovation, and entrepreneurship existing in our community by facilitating a rotating immersive residency experience, curated by the SDM Programming Committee, that will be open to and presented to the public in multiple formats offering inspiration for budding talent to witness success stories, learn the processes that helped shaped the creative journeys of our highlighted residents, and engage with the facilities in their neighborhoods that serve as incubators for creativity and innovation.

Program Objective

San Diego Promise Zone Map Above

Our program is all about helping creative entrepreneurs in the Promise Zone neighborhoods. We’re offering free workshops, speaker series, public art displays, and exciting events, all centered around a special quarterly residency for four talented local artists. This project highlights local expertise and sparks collaboration on fresh ideas to tackle community opportunities and challenges. Emerging artists will find inspiration and mentorship, while resident artists enjoy free workspace and paid work. Plus, our resident artists will share their traditional art practices and cultural insights, making sure these traditions are celebrated and woven into our story. Join us in celebrating creativity and community!

They must demonstrate a model of success that can be disseminated and translated to others in the community in an impactful way.
