Open Studio Hours with Rose Sanchez
Open studio hours with Rose Sanchez are open to all and will be a combination of writing sessions and set sessions. Anyone interested in film will be able to dive into the production/creative process of making a film.
Root & Rise
A workshop designed for small business owners in San Diego. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, discover cross-collaboration opportunities, and learn practical strategies to elevate their businesses in 2025. The event includes cocktails (and non-alc options!) with The Beverage Botanist, a guided clay vase making workshop led by Janna Barker of isiko/The Clay Society, and a mini-panel discussion hosted by Point Blank PR.
Speaking Event: Reframing the Narrative
Join us for "Reframing the Narrative," an evening of thought-provoking conversations exploring the challenges and triumphs of the Black experience in San Diego. Through a series of TED-style talks, speakers will delve into topics such as redlining, the Black San Diego experience, and the role of film and art in preserving history and shaping the future.

Beyond the Line Final Exhibition
An immersive film premiere exhibition for Rose Sanchez’s short film. The event will have music performances by the film’s music composer, poetry, a film screening, and a short speaking panel afterward.
Creative Catalyst Workshop hosted by the Fleet Science Center
The Fleet Science Center is proud to present the Creative Catalyst Workshop Series, funded and supported by the Prebys Foundation.
With the main goal of equipping creative individuals in National City, Barrio Logan, Greater Neighborhoods of Southeastern San Diego, and San Ysidro with the tools and connections to navigate creative submissions opportunities. This is as a result of our community listening with selection committee members during our pilot of Art for Planetary Health initiative.
Pace & Paint Final Exhibition by Mensah Bey
Join us for the culminating exhibition of Mensah Bey’s residency at the San Diego Made Factory, marking the conclusion of the My Creative Journey program. This immersive exhibition showcases collaborative paintings created with the community, celebrating the intersection of wellness, movement, and creativity.
