Paint & Pace Final Exhibtion by Mensah Bey

Saturday, March 22, 2025, 4-7pm, San Diego Made Factory

Don’t miss the Pace & Paint Final Exhibition with Mensah Bey on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the San Diego Made Factory.

This culminating exhibition marks the conclusion of Mensah Bey’s residency and the My Creative Journey program. The event is free and open to the public. This immersive exhibition will showcase collaborative paintings created with the community, celebrating the intersection of wellness, movement, and creativity. Through this collection, visitors will experience the powerful role of art in promoting well-being, the joy of movement, and the deep connections formed through collaboration.

In addition to the visual art, electronic musician, sound designer, and composer Gordon Rosas-Davis, also known as grrd, will perform live musical soundscapes throughout the event. His compositions are inspired by the phases of a run, from the starting line to the finish line, reflecting the meditative and rhythmic nature of movement.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a curated selection of food from Cater2u Catering Co (@cater2u_cateringco), a gourmet soul food company led by Head Chef Natifa Snowden.

This special evening will bring together art, music, and food, celebrating the creative spirit and the power of community.

My Creative Journey: Empowering Artists, Enriching Community

San Diego Made’s “My Creative Journey” | “Mi Viaje Creativo” is an ongoing program dedicated to supporting creative entrepreneurs in the Promise Zone neighborhoods. Through free workshops, speaker series, public art displays, and community events, we showcase local talent, foster collaboration, and provide opportunities for emerging artists to learn from established creatives.

Each quarter, four selected artists participate in a paid residency, gaining free workspace and a platform to share their creative processes, traditional art practices, and cultural heritage. This initiative not only celebrates artistic innovation but also strengthens community connections by ensuring that creative success stories are shared and accessible to all.

This program is made possible with support from the City of San Diego’s Commission for Arts and Culture, Space 4 Art, and the San Diego Made Factory.
