“The Slow Down” is a monthly, donation-based gathering series designed specifically for social impact professionals looking to prioritize their wellbeing. We define social impact professionals as those working (or volunteering) in spaces that create positive change in society, and are invovled in solving our region’s toughest challenges and inequities.
This conference is ALL about empowering all Black women, who are new to leadership (0-3 years), seasoned in their leadership journey, thinking about getting into leadership, ready to own their space, show up authentically, and handle all the roadblocks that come your way with grace. Imagine having a full tank of gas, the best GPS, and a squad cheering you on as you navigate your leadership journey.

Amplifying Creative Communities is a platform dedicated to identifying spaces and opportunities for artists, makers, and supporters to thrive.
Start your morning with a unique blend of movement and creativity at Pace & Paint, hosted by artist Mensah Bey. This event invites the community to come together for a walk/run through the vibrant Logan Heights and Barrio Logan neighborhoods, followed by refreshments and a collaborative painting session at the San Diego Made Factory.
Join us for the culminating exhibition of Mensah Bey’s residency at the San Diego Made Factory, marking the conclusion of the My Creative Journey program. This immersive exhibition showcases collaborative paintings created with the community, celebrating the intersection of wellness, movement, and creativity.
San Diego Made is proud to open up our Factory in Logan Heights near downtown San Diego to host creative, inspiring events for the public like those listed above! We welcome those who’d like to put on creative workshops, networking events, fundraisers, socials, and more to inquire about renting our space. Events at the San Diego Made Factory are special. Maybe you’ll learn a tangible skill that many of our makers have mastered and built businesses off of, or attend a networking social with other talented minds…our creative enviorment is the perfect space to experience something unique.
